Structural and Operational Fundamentals of High Temperature and High-speed Slip Rings

      At present, there is a geometric increase in the degree of automation in the food industry, light industry, the domestic pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, auto parts industry, and other industries. In some industries, the work environment temperature is high and this increases the requirements of the automatic line of control. The slip rings are used for the transmission of the electrical signals, as per the requirement for the implementation of rotating parts. They are not only required to take the delivery of the electrical power but also maintain efficient working in case of high temperature and high speed. In the normal environment the working temperature of the slip rings may be nearby 80 degrees but in some circumstances in some industries, the operating or working temperature may go up to 150 degrees. At these temperatures, the normal slip rings will not work and cause great loss to production. So, to tackle the situation the slip ring manufacturer have come up with a simple four-channel conductivity slip ring requires that can operate at 150-200 degrees high-temperature environment to work reliably.

Structure

      The four-channel conductive slip rings, which can be tagged as a high speed slip ring comprise, the output terminals, the housing, output wiring tray, the mandrel, four metal collector rings, insulated seat, input wiring boards, four pairs of brushes, bearings, input terminals, flexible conductive sheet, four metal collector rings. The alloy collector rings and the output wiring tray is set with the device on a rotating mandrel. The mandrel and housing are set through the bearing to the connection. The bench insulator is set between the alloy collector ring and the mandrel; the brushes are connected with the input terminals and are placed in contact with the cylindrical elastic alloyed collector ring. The brush is made of carbon fiber and the silver matrix composites, between the brush and the elastic conductive sheet, comprises of a high temperature resistant of 200° C silver ECAs bonding. The roughness of the surface of the alloy collector ring is of less than 0.8μm.

Working

      The four-way slip rings input terminals are connected to carbon brushes, there are four pairs of brushes which are in contact with the four cylindrical collector ring, they are electrically isolated by the bench insulator which between the mandrel and alloy collector ring.

      When the rotatory device which is connected to the slip ring mandrel, works, the power input terminals, the power transmission through the brush contacts to alloyed collector rings, the output terminals and the electrical equipment, all make sure electrical equipment is working properly and ensure continuous transmission of power, to achieve fixtures transfer of electrical energy to rotary device. The four-way slip ring with a simple structure, easy installation, and maintenance, work reliably at 150-200 ° C high-temperature environment.
